Typing (Keyboarding) Certification Test

The keyboarding test is a FREE 5 minute timed writing where text is keyed from unfamiliar material. A maximum of 5 errors are allowed. The certificate will be given at no cost immediately after successful completion of the test.

  • A maximum of three tests are administered at any one session (practice tests are available)
  • No minimum speed is required but 25 Net Words Per Minute (NWPM) is suggested
  • A valid picture ID is required
  • Students must register prior to the test on the first visit to the facility
  • A student is given one original certificate
  • No appointment necessary
  • Arrive 30 minutes prior to testing time
